Members of the platform have expressed outrage due to a modification that led to listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The second-hand shopping app has revised its sizing categories for women's and children's clothes failing to inform every member regarding the update.
Countless users and merchants are expressing on platforms stating that platform listings now display a different size category than originally posted due to the recalibration.
The company said the new system was more in line with similar services.
It has advised users to check their listings and adjust the sizing manually when needed, causing user dissatisfaction.
Earlier, the sizing featured a single numeric size and a letter, such as S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes an alphabetical indicator and numerical range for example S/UK 8-10.
With some products, the measurements have been reclassified - such as a large size was previously a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.
Frankie Bridger, who creates plus-size fashion videos, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," which is what Vinted now does.
Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, stated items she posted with size 14 tags were showing in the marketplace as measurements 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she said.
Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products".
"This situation is especially annoying, because of my ongoing medical condition and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she explained.
The service features exceeding 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members.
It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time when a surprising modification within the service has received backlash: previously, the service retracted a modification concerning shipment methods following member complaints.
